About Me

Introduction

It’s me, hi!  My name is Kayla, I am a second-year undergraduate student studying psychology.  When I’ve completed my bachelor’s degree I plan on going to law school!

Music is one of the only things that keeps me sane so, I love talking about it as well as making my own!  I primarily play guitar and piano, but also venture into the realm of percussion on the drums.  Aside from music, writing is another passion of mine.  I love everything to do with writing from essays to poetry however, songwriting is my favourite!  I write songs to deal with complex emotions and experiences I go through, or just as a fun, creative outlet.

When I started my first semester of university I became very overwhelmed and felt I didn’t have a great school-life balance.  So, taking these passions of mine into consideration I thought why not start a music blog where I can delve into my passions of music and writing.   I also have created a personal section of the blog so I have somewhere I can vent and talk about life, even if no one reads it, it’s my own safe space to get things off my chest.

Life is unpredictable and my school work-load fluctuates so I cannot promise I’ll be consistent with publishing on here, but I’m going to try as much as I can!
